Think Book Writing - Hailie
Why do you think this tiger cub is so upset?
Someone pushed him into the water and he got so scared that he made an ugly face at the people.

What do you think it would be like to live in this house?
I think I would never find a way to get out. I would take an hour to get to school, or longer and probably there is no service for my iPad or phone or internet.

What is the squirrel so anxious to tell you?
"Stop!" Said the squirrel. "Stop! There is a booby trap"
I don't listen. I fall into a giant hole.
"Help!" I yelled.
No one came. I only saw animals above me. An elephant let down his trunk and pulled me out.

What is the squirrel so anxious to tell you?
Nothing it's trying to balance, I think.

What do you thing the Dad lion is telling his son?
"Do not walk any further or you will fall off the cliff and get killed. I will not be impressed and you're mother won't be too."

I am...
I am kind and careful.
I wonder if Alaska is a country or city.
I hear Big Foot stomping.
I see a dragon.
I want a pet dragon.
I am kind and careful.
I pretend to see dragons.
I feel the flame of a dragon.
I touch a dragons breath.
I worry that my mum will die today.
I cry because my nana died .
I am kind and careful.
I understand Miss Lagah's English.
I say dragons are real.
I dream that I have a dragon.
I try my best at school.
I hope my dream comes true.
I am kind and careful.

Toby The Turtle
Toby is room r's turtle. He has very sensitive ears,a hard shell and sharp claws. Miss Lagah says that when we go after school he climbs on his rock. Sometimes he come's out of his tank and come's outside. He stretch's his neck which make him look funny.
Chinese New Year
Yesterday was the start of Chinese New Year Celebrations, so we decided we would join in too. In China, they have named their years after animals. This year it is the year of the sheep.
We made a dragon for our class. It hangs across one of the wires. It looks amazing. We also made lanterns to decorate our classroom.
We made dragon masks out of cardboard, glitter, sequins and diamonds.
We also flew to China on a plane. Miss Lagah was our pilot and we crashed. We hope she learns how to fly before we go somewhere else. We watched the lion dance and the dragon dance. We saw the Terracotta Army statues. They are made out of clay. Farmers found them under their soil. There are over 7000 of them and it took 700 000 people to build them. They are all unique, which means they are all different.
